Kilpatrick Townsend Names Patrick Njeim Managing Partner of the Seattle Office

SEATTLE (May 1) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Patrick Njeim, MSc. was named the Managing Partner for the firm's Seattle office effective May 1, 2023.  Mr. Njeim assumes the leadership of the Seattle office from Rob Roy Smith who served as Managing Partner since 2019. Mr. Smith will continue counseling clients as part of the firm’s nationally ranked Native American Affairs Team where he also serves as Co-Chair.

Mr. Njeim is a partner on the Kilpatrick Townsend’s Electrical Engineering & Software Team focusing his practice on patent preparation and prosecution, due diligence matters, infringement and validity opinions, portfolio analysis, patent litigation, and post-grant proceedings. He represents clients in a wide range of technology areas, including Artificial Intelligence, Wireless Communications, Standard Essential Patents in the telecommunications space, Signal Processing, Computer Networks, Virtualization and Cloud Computing, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Medical Devices, Robotics, Autonomous Vehicles, and Intellectual Property Export Controls. Mr. Njeim is an adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Washington (UW) School of Law teaching advanced courses in intellectual property. 

Mr. Njeim was recognized as a Washington “Rising Star” in 2022 and the five years preceding for Intellectual Property by Super Lawyers magazine. He was also recognized in 2022 and 2023 as one of the "Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch" for Patent Law by The Best Lawyers in America®. He is also fluent in Arabic and French.
